Recent Course Feedback:

Excellent course with thoughtful yet impactful content.

Great course filled with loads of information to give me better knowledge on how to deal with these situations in real life.

Definitely feel more confident coming out of this and look forward to putting it into practice.

Rob did a fantastic job at delivering the course content and keeping us engaged. I found it very informative and it will certainly help in all aspects of my life going forward (not just in my volunteer role). Thank you.

Excellent pace and Rob made sure we were all engaged with the different activities and other members of the group. The ALGEE plan has given me a structure and confidence to approach someone who might need some support.

Rob was really engaging and created a comfortable environment for learning and asking questions. The course was delivered in a way that was easy to understand with real-life examples that made it feel relevant. I found the training really beneficial, especially in my job role where I deal with mental health regularly. It’s given me more confidence, a clearer structure like ALGEE, and improved how I communicate and support people in difficult situations. I feel much more equipped to recognise signs of mental health issues and respond in a calm, supportive, and appropriate way.

I have gained a deeper respect and knowledge around mental health. The importance of reducing stigma and offering support. I feel equipped to safely approach someone after completing the mental health first aid course with Rob and the wonderful group. My closing thought is we are better together and not alone.

Excellent course that has given me the tools and knowledge to recognise when someone may be in a crisis with the ALGEE action plan equipping me to deal with it.

Very interesting course. Would highly recommend. Now feel equipped to act in appropriate situations.

I really enjoyed the course, it was interesting and informative. I now feel much more confident handling mental health situations and have a far better understanding of how to support others.

The course has given me the ability to approach situations in a somewhat confident manner applying the appropriate methods within the boundaries of my abilities. I would recommend this course to anyone who has an interest or need to further their knowledge on MHFA.

Really informative. I especially found the videos of people with real life experiences very helpful. It has made me feel much better equipped to approach and talk to people - especially having the ALGEE to use as guidance.
